Slow Healing

New Haven, CT
This project acts as a third place - a place between work and home - where artistic practices are performed and shared between community members, artists and students participating in an alternative youth sentencing program. Using art as a communicative tool, the design aims to facilitate a collective slow healing through the aggregation of programmatic productive adjacencies and frictions. Fabric of varying opacities is layered as both a room within a room and partition to provide adaptable space as well as to encourage transparent relationships between community members, mentors and students participating in the youth diversion program.
